I was feeling a bit defeated by my big pieces of knitting and tatting so made this little tatted mat.

New spindle

I've just got a new supported spindle from IST Crafts Isle of Wight. It is lovely and light and spins really well. I just wish my skill was its equal - I need a lot more practice!

Some years ago I carefully chose this shrub and planted it - and every year I enjoy it. Do I know what it is called? Of course not!

Asleep

Tigger doesn't like to sleep stretched out. Hasn't he got huge paws! When he was a kitten everyone laughed because he had clown feet.

Snowball bush

I have a very soft spot for this bush as I planted it to mark the grave of one of the previous generation of our cats - Basil, who had enough character for a dozen cats and lived every one of his nine lives to the full.
