Dolls house middle floor

Here is the rearranged middle floor of my dolls house. The little teddy bear was my effort at making the smallest bear I could manage. He is a centimetre tall!

Poised to spring

Sunny moves so fast it is hard to get a picture of her that is in focus. Here she was poised to chase something - or maybe nothing - it doesn't seem to matter much!

Dolls house rearranged

It is not easy to arrange my dolls house as it is really bursting at the seams. But I have taken everything out and rearranged it. Here is the ground floor.

Mini drawings

My husband is good at pencil sketches - though he doesn't have much time for them. But he made me several miniature ones which I was able to frame for my dolls house.

Cardigan Progress

I am making fairly quick progress with Marie Dembrow's Pebble Cardigan pattern. I have already made it past the armholes on the back.

I love the way the pattern developes so naturally from the bottom section.

Tigger

Tigger was not pleased to be disturbed when he was busy sleeping the winter away.

Lit-up splendour

Miniature tatting

Tatting is so very versatile. These are little bits of miniature tatting for the dollshouse.

Holly

The holly was not very happy last autumn as it was mild but very dry. But there are a few berries.

Lights

I always think dolls houses look particulary nice from the outside when the lights are switched on.

A big brush!

I just noticed that my husband has hung up a truly enormous Japanese calligraphy brush.

January Sunshine

We have had so many grey dark days that I had to photograph the view from my window this morning!

Leaves Shawl - change of mind

I decided I wanted a shawl without a point at the lower back so I took my first effort back and started a faroese shawl instead. I love Myra Stahman's book Stahman's Shawls and Scarves. This one is Susan - a pattern  I have made several times already and never tire of.

Dolls house

I'm sure I have shown you this before, but I made an effort and got the lights working again.

Dwarf evergreen

Dwarf evergreens are always recommended for winter, but they often look sad and dark. This one always seems to glow with brightness - it looks happy!

New Cardigan

Since I still need a cardigan I have chosen another Marie Dembrow cardigan - MS155 Pebble Cardigan. I found a pale yellow yarn in my stash, 50/50 silk/cashmere which seems to work well when six stranded. I've got nearly a kilo of this so really should have enough this time!

Fun!

Sunny loves playing in the garden. She is always so reproachful when it is cold or wet. As soon as the weather improves she is back outside again, climbing, stalking, jumping for joy.

Leaf Shawl

On Boxing Day I started a little silk shawl with a leaf pattern. I love leaf patterns so this is made up from elements of lots of leaf shawl patterns. I felt in need of an easy pattern I could keep in my head. The top photo shows the pattern, but the colour is wrong. The bottom photo is nearer to the actual colour but the real thing is brighter and, being 90% silk and 10% cashmere, has a lovely sheen.

Space

I have to be sure and leave a space on my windowsill - Tigger and Sunny both like to sit there.

Cardigan to Waistcoat

I couldn't bring myself to frog what I had done of the cardigan, so yesterday afternoon I converted it into a waistcoat. I'm pleased with the result this time.
