Mug Rug

I just had to show you the view from my window last night at dusk. The trees were really red in the setting sun. Five minutes later it was dark.

This is a mug rug that I finished yesterday for a swap. Today it is on its way to someone in the US. I had never made one before. In fact I only heard of such a thing in a recent patchwork magazine.  I just made up the design as I went along.
